Hello and welcome! My name is Naomi Mowers. I am the Licensed School Nurse at Moose Lake Community School. I am here to provide health services and education for all PreK-12 students, and to ensure safe, appropriate and individualized care to students with special health needs. I grew up in New York Mills, MN. After graduating from high school, I moved to Duluth, where I met my future husband. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at The College of St. Scholastica in 2010. Immediately after, I obtained my Registered Nurse and Public Health Nurse licenses. I worked as an Emergency Department RN in Fargo and Brainerd, and later as a Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Nursing Core Course Director and Instructor in Brainerd. I obtained and still hold my Board Certification in Emergency Nursing. In 2019, I began working at Moose Lake Community School and obtained my Licensed School Nurse licensure. My husband, three children and I live on an ever-growing hobby farm of 20 acres outside of Moose Lake. We enjoy the quiet life in the country and appreciate the small-town charm of the community. My hobbies and interests include kayaking, canoeing, backcountry camping, hiking, bonfires, gardening, baking, shopping with my girls, spending time with family and friends, doing home projects and renovations, and traveling to new destinations! Feel free to contact me at any time - I look forward to working with you and your child. |
