Today we held our first schoolwide Kick-Off, a monthly tradition that brings our entire school community together to connect, celebrate, and have a little fun!
Each month, our Kick-Off gives us an opportunity to reinforce the systems and expectations that help our school be a place where everyone can learn and belong. At the center of that work is our ASK mantra: Appropriate, Safe, and Kind. We talk about what ASK looks and sounds like throughout our school and how each of us plays a part in creating the community we want to be.
Of course, a Kick-Off wouldn’t be complete without some fun! We played games, shared plenty of smiles and laughter, and celebrated some of the exciting things happening around our school this month.
We’re excited to continue this tradition throughout the year—coming together each month to celebrate our students, strengthen our community, and keep asking ourselves: Is it Appropriate? Is it Safe? Is it Kind?
What a great start! 💙

Due to the weather forecast, the Rebels vs. Bombers Little Brown Jug Varsity Football Game on Friday, September 11th will now kick off at 5:00 PM. Grab your Rebel gear and come out early to cheer on the team as they battle for the Jug! 💙❤️
Go Rebels! #RebelFootball #LittleBrownJug #excellenceforlife 🏈

Minnesota provides free breakfast and lunch to students, but families are still encouraged to complete the Application for Educational Benefits each school year. These applications are incredibly important—they help Moose Lake Community School receive critical federal and state funding that supports educational programs, services, and student opportunities.
Families who qualify may also gain access to additional benefits such as summer grocery benefits, utility discounts, and test fee waivers. Eligibility may be based on household income or participation in programs such as SNAP, MFIP, FDPIR, foster care, Head Start, homelessness, or migrant status.
💙 One application can make a big difference for your family AND our school! Please review the 2026–27 eligibility information and complete the Application for Educational Benefits if your family may qualify.
Thank you for supporting Moose Lake students and schools — Excellence for Life! 🫎
